I get asked all the time. how are you so happy? why are you so happy? is it because you’re doing what you love?

I am happy because I am healthy, and because I am committed to watching my mind, all day every day.

I am convinced that happiness starts with health. and then all other things come from that. with health, you think clearly, you have emotional stability, your body composition optimizes so you’re happy with how you look, you feel good, you’re clear, open, and receptive. when you’re healthy, your perception of everything in life changes. and THIS is how you find things like your passion, purpose, and contribution. and although you can work that flow in reverse, it isn’t as effortless.

once you become clean, clear, vibrant, and vital, then you start to realize the power you have in your thoughts. what you think about, you bring about. the more you think about it, the more clear you get, the more it comes.

but it’s a double-edged sword. because the same is true for the opposite. the more you dread, the more you fear, the more you think about worst-case-scenarios, the more you bring those things.

get healthy first, make health your utmost priority. do this by eating real food, sleeping well, getting sun every day, having a mindfulness practice, moving naturally, and getting out in nature. if you don’t know how, we can teach you.

then, with a meditation and mindfulness practice, learn to watch your mind like a hawk. as often as you can, think about what you want. and when you notice yourself thinking negative thoughts, or thinking about what’s wrong, or thinking about what you don’t have, or what you don’t like, or what could go wrong – NOTICE IT, then FLIP IT. ask yourself “what do I really want? what do I want instead?” you don’t have to have the answer, you just have to ask the question.

this is how to be happy.

P.S. you don’t ever have to question what you’re supposed to eat, ever again. figure out real food for life.
